Recently, the LaSalle Stompers Soccer Club held its annual Day of Champions, with more than 1,500 people coming together for a day of fun, friendship, great memories and a little healthy competition!
“Congratulations to all of the organizers, and a huge thank you to the many volunteers,” said LaSalle mayor Crystal Meloche. “Your time and dedication not only made yesterday a success, but helped make the entire soccer season possible for so many young players in our community.”
Meloche shares that “It was also an honour to present this year’s Councillor Sue Desjarlais Community Service Award to Mayiah Willis.
The award was created by the LaSalle Stompers in memory of Councillor Desjarlais and her commitment to our community, and recognizes individuals who carry on that spirit of community service.
A special thank you to St. Andrew’s Food Bank for being on site collecting food donations. Once again, the community showed its incredible generosity, filling multiple truckloads with donations.
