Volunteers with the Tilbury Lioness Club spent the weekend selling 50/50 draw tickets in the town’s downtown core, raising money for a range of community projects supported by the service club.
Members Giselle and Bern staffed the ticket table for several hours, greeting residents, answering questions and encouraging passersby to take part in the fundraiser. The pair said the draw helps support local initiatives the club contributes to each year, including youth programs, accessibility improvements and community events.
The 50/50 draw has become a familiar sight in Tilbury, with volunteers regularly setting up in high‑traffic areas to connect with residents. Organizers say the fundraiser not only brings in financial support but also gives the club a chance to highlight the work it does throughout the year.
The winning ticket will be drawn on Monday, Sept. 14, 2026, with proceeds directed toward upcoming Lioness Club projects.
