The economy, housing, education, healthcare, data centre location – what are your concerns in moving Tecumseh forward?
Your community newspaper, the Tecumseh Reporter, in partnership with the Town of Tecumseh, is pleased to announce the 2026 Tecumseh Municipal All-Candidates’ Debate. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 6, 2026, at 6 p.m. at the Ciociaro Club.
The debate will be moderated by recently retired AM800 radio host Patty Handysides, bringing a wealth of experience and impartiality to the proceedings.
With the municipal election approaching, this debate offers residents a valuable opportunity to hear directly from all certified candidates seeking public office in Tecumseh, including those whose offices may ultimately be acclaimed.
The event will give candidates a platform to present their backgrounds, priorities, and visions for Tecumseh’s future. It is designed to foster an informed and engaged electorate, and to promote transparency and dialogue within our community.
The Tecumseh Reporter and the Town Clerk’s office will provide additional details regarding the format and structure of the debate as the event date approaches.
Residents are invited to submit feedback and suggest topics of public interest for debate questions. Community input is encouraged to ensure a robust and relevant discussion.
